Barbara Davis is an artist, illustrator and writer.

Born and raised in Oakdale, Louisiana and Camden, Alabama, Barbara has been an artist for nearly two decades. She graduated from Auburn University in 1973 and completed the EFM program at Sewanee Theological Seminary in 1996. For years, she worked in the legal field as well as being a mother and now grandmother. Out of her love for her children and grandchildren, she envisioned a book that could aid in passing her faith to the next generation. She invited Terry Ellis to join her in her vision, using his intellectual and writing skills to do a deep dive, with her focus being on children and young families. Thus two books were born. Barbara paints in oil and watercolor. Her subjects include landscapes, still life, portraits, and she is always drawn toward wildlife!

Written by Dr. Terry Ellis

Dr. Ellis is an author and founder of Chrysalis Interventions, an addiction intervention mission.

Prior to becoming an interventionist, Dr. Ellis served as pastor of six churches over his 34 year career. He holds a doctorate in Greek, a Masters in Biblical studies, and a B.A. in Psychology. He’s authored many commentaries, articles, and biblical studies, and his blog, GraceWaves, has a wide audience. He is also a recovering alcoholic.
